8 Week

Group Classes

Our Grief Recovery Classes provide a safe environment for you to look at how you learned to deal or not deal with loss, which losses have affected your life, and learn the action steps necessary to complete relationships and address the unresolved emotions that may still be causing you pain.

It’s an action-based group that involves reading and writing assignments.  It’s not a drop in group. It takes an 8 week commitment to the process and the group itself.

Each Group is facilitated by one of our Certified Grief Recovery Specialists. Specialists come from all walks of life and professional backgrounds, but have in common a desire to help people.

The total price for the 8 week class including materials is $280 payable in weekly installments of $35 ($250 if paid in full up front). Scholarships are available for those facing financial challenges. Email Scholarship@GriefChatt.com

7-10 Week

One-on-One

Like the Group Classes, one-on- one sessions provide a safe environment for you to examine your losses and errant coping mechanisms in a more personalized setting.

One-on-one sessions may be preferable due to schedule conflicts, confidentially concerns or comfort level.  The same curriculum is taught in the one- on-one sessions as in the group classes.

Like the group classes, a commitment to completion is required and can not be considered a "make it if you feel like it" appointment. This program involves reading and writing assignments that must be completed in a timely manner.

Cost for one-on-one classes average $85 per 1 hour class but may vary based on individual needs.

When Children

Grieve

There are many life experiences that can produce feelings of grief in a child, from the death of a relative or a divorce in the family to more everyday experiences such as moving to a new neighborhood or losing a prized possession. No matter the reason or degree of severity, if a child you love is grieving, the guidelines examined can make a difference.

To watch a child grieve and not know what to do is a profoundly difficult experience for parents, teachers, and caregivers. Yet, there are guidelines for helping children develop a lifelong healthy response to loss.

The goal of this program for adults is to give the tools that free children from the false idea of “not feeling bad” and to empower them with positive, effective methods of dealing with loss.

Pet Loss

Your relationship with your pet is special—it’s a bond that is very different than those that human beings share with each other.

When a beloved pet passes away, people often resort to incorrect mechanisms to deal with the grief, such as trying to move too quickly past the loss (dismissing the real impact), or even attempting to replace the pet immediately. These are just two of the six myths we will clear up in this program.

Pet Loss groups are available based on demand. But one-on-one Pet Loss programs can be scheduled as needed. We will address how losing a pet is different from losing a human loved one, and ultimately, how to move on with life.
